Students, thank you for choosing a Tarheel & Toe BMW CCA driving school. Your registration will show status "New" or "Pending" until several administrative steps including current, valid membership verification and instructor staffing and assignment have been completed. It will then change to "Confirmed". You will not be charged until you are confirmed. This process can take several weeks. Please be patient and check your dashboard for status change and email for announcements regularly.

WAITLIST
If your registration immediately shows 'WAITLIST" status its not because we're short of instructors. Your run group is actually already full. We send status updates to the entire waitlist several times detailing your position and your options. Don't email to ask to move to another group. If you're eligible for a different group we note it in your registration and it will be considered automatically. Go to the Event Status Page (also known as "Attendee Page") for more Waitlist information.

Instructors, thank you for being available to instruct. We absolutely can't do this without your participation. You registering early helps facilitate the student confirmation process, as we may delay some confirmations until we are sure we have enough instructors to cover.

Students, Instructors and Club Racers will find confirmation packets available for download at www.tarheelbmwcca.org/track.html under driving schools. Please read all relevant materials on our website. Forms are included in the confirmation packet. Download, print and complete all forms and bring them to registration. Also bring current (2015 or newer) Snell helmet & valid driver’s license. Fuel is available at the track from credit card pumps that are available all the time. They are pricey so fill up prior to arrival at the paddock each day. Beverages and food are available at the Pagoda on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Tavern restaurant at the clubhouse will be open for evening meals and reservations are helpful.

Pre-Event Technical Inspection
WE DON'T TECH CARS AT THE TRACK. Repeat, NO TECH AT THE TRACK. If you show up and ask, we know you haven't read anything and we won't be particularly sympathetic. The other 200+ people came prepared. Don't be "That Guy". Download the Student Packet and print the Vehicle Tech. Students, have the Pre-event Tech completed and signed/stamped (or bring the Invoice as proof) by a professional shop. Instructors and Racers may self tech and must complete the same form.

SNELL 2010 HELMETS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED. VERIFY YOUR HELMET ASAP.

REVISED (Again) NEW VIR GUEST RULES

VIR now requires us to provide the Guest List two weeks in advance. (That's not a typo.) Please note: IF YOUR CREW / GUESTS ARRIVE WITH YOU PRIOR TO 9:00 A.M. SATURDAY, THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR THEM TO ENTER THE FACILITY. If they arrive past 9:00 a.m. WITHOUT YOU, they must be on the Guest List we submitted. VIR may (at their discretion) charge your unlisted crew / guests a $10 facility access fee.

Here is VIR’s statement regarding crew members / guests:
We will start charging a facility access fee on Sat morning at 9am. VIR assumes all your crew and participants will be in and won't have to worry about that. If a crew member shows up after 9am on Saturday then they will be charged the facility access fee. The only exception to that is if the driver shows up late and has the crew members with them and the driver is on the list you provide.

Cancellation Policy: Return to Pre-COVID Policy -- PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY -- You must cancel by using the self-cancellation on Motorsportreg.com site and please also email the Event Registrar via the MSR registrar contact link. The timestamp is automatically added to the private note letting organizers apply the refund policy. Students, Cancel 30+ days in advance, receive 100% track fee credit on your MSR account to be applied to future registration. Cancel 10 to 29 days in advance, a $100 cancellation fee is applicable. Balance will be credited on your MSR account to be applied to future registration. If you cancel within 10 days in advance or NO-SHOW, fees are forfeited. NO refund or credit. For a refund in lieu of MSR credit as outlined above, an additional $30 handling fee is applicable. Refund must be requested at time of cancellation. NO EXCEPTIONS due to mechanical failure. Prepare your car carefully. Instructors: please do not cancel after 10 days prior to the event. No-Shows will be dropped to the bottom of our approved list. Aborted events (as determined by the Driving Events Committee) may trigger a refund/credit to paid registrants in a prorated amount to be determined.

No-Show Policy
Due to the increased demand for our events, the size of waitlists, and the number of no-shows each event, we have instituted a no-show policy. A registrant will be replaced by a waitlist stand-by on-site if registrants are late and don't exercise the courtesy of letting us know they are going to be late or not coming at all. To avoid the no-show declaration, a registrant must fulfill any one of these three requirements:
1- Check-in, sign waivers and collect registration packet by 8:30am Saturday.
2- Contact a CI or the registrar by 7am Saturday indicating the registrant will not be able to meet requirement #1.
3- Respond by 8:30am Saturday to emails and/or calls to the registrants MotorSportReg profile contacts.
If a registrant fails to meet at least one of these requirements they will be declared a No-Show. At that point their spot may be given to a qualified stand-by. If the spot is re-assigned, the No-Show will receive their event fee refund less $50 administrative fees. If not replaced, they will receive no refund. If the no-show registrant eventually arrives the CI's at their discretion may make a best-effort to find a spot for the no-show registrant. This opportunity is not guaranteed.
